My list.

I believe that each individual should create their own list of behaviour, words or action that makes them feel like the person they want to be.

It’s the same idea as people going to religious institutions and follow a set a rules. They go weekly (chronically) to a place where they expose themselves to ideas that influence the way they think and act. In this case, following someone else ideas is not a bad thing, but I’d like to push this idea to the next level.

The environment around us is constantly changing. What you see, hear, taste, touch, talk to, read and more influence your action and your perception of things around you. It can positively affect you or be detrimental to your growth.

I’ve read and experience several similar ideas that all converge into this one:
People need a “reference” where they can go back. Refill their energy and “reset” their mind to a state they like in order to continue.

I think life is about expressing the true “You” inside of you, but because of the environment dynamics you can be influence in a way that pulls you away from what you really want to do.

What I’d like to propose is for you to try and create a list of ideas that makes you the “you” that you want to be. After every “x” amount of time when you feel like you have lost yourself because of the influence around you, you can read those ideas again and bring yourself back.

(I feel like some of them repeat themselves, but each of them really speak to me. Whenever I make a mistake or experience something that challenges my mind, I’ll put those ideas on paper.)

My rules:

  1. Don’t do what you don’t want people do to you. Do what you want people do to you. Treat people the way you want to be treat.

  2. Be honest, tell the truth.

  3. Don’t forget who you are, who you were and who you want to be.

  4. Don’t forget the “why”. People focus too much on the results.

  5. Learn something new everyday.

  6. Try something new everyday

  7. Always grow and move forward.

  8. Consistency is the key to success

  9. Don’t make the same mistake twice.

  10. If you don’t try, you will never know.

  11. Don’t waste your time. Use it to fulfill your dreams. Take actions that go in accordance with your goals. If you can’t justify why, then don’t do it.

  12. Create opportunities, stop waiting for them to come at you.

  13. Don’t try to change others they have their own path.

  14. Don’t worry too much about others, think about yourself first.

  15. Don’t force your ideals to others.

  16. Mind your own business.

  17. Don’t be jealous or envious. We are all different.

  18. Don’t compare your journey to someone else.

  19. Compare yourself to your old-self, not others.

  20. Stay with positive, motivated and passionate people.

  21. Moderation is key.

  22. Self-awareness, be careful for being influence by others.

  23. Decide with your heart. Don’t listen to your brain.

  24. Live the way you want to. Do what the fck you want to do.

  25. Trust yourself.

  26. Stop over-analyzing

  27. Stay positive. Be positive.

  28. Not everyone can understand or care about your goals, accept that fact.

  29. Various level and form of happiness. Respect other people’s happiness no matter how bad you think it is.

  30. Spend your life doing things you want to do more than what you have to do.

  31. Feel your heart. 

  32. Stop pretending you don’t know. Be honest to yourself.

  33. You look better when you smile.

  34. Use your money to buy experience, not objects.

  35. Attitude and conviction are the only thing you need to win the day.

  36. The most important judge is you. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

  37. Spend more time with friends.

  38. Education: Focus on building skills, not get A’s.

  39. Live a life creating good memories.

  40. Don’t retain your emotions. Let them free.

  41. If you don’t know where to go anymore, ask for help, don’t be stubborn.

  42. You have to find places you like to go.

  43. Don’t forget to enjoy the process. It’s not the result that is the most important.

  44. You don’t need to think like others.

  45. Accept compliments and criticisms

  46. You said you’re gonna do something, then DO IT !

  47. Pleasure of life, balance with achieving goals.

  48. Don’t judge pplz by your own standards.

  49. Don’t look for love and love will find you.

  50. Men give and women receive. Learn to give/receive.

  52. Stop wasting your time on people who doesn’t give a fck about you. Spend your time with those who care about you.

  53. You have the freedom to choose the response to a stimulus.

  54. There are things that you don’t have control on, but you have control on your attitude toward them.

  55. Love yourself first

  56. You are a strong. Say what you want to say. Do what you feel is right regardless of other’s opinion.

  57. Stop telling yourself lies and fight reality with everything you have.

  58. Take the time to relax and replenish your energy.

  59. Do things that makes you feel alive. Let life carry you.

  60. If everything around you is wrong, focus on yourself.

  61. Move forward.

  62. Never give up. People important to you need you.

  63. Say “no” and offer alternatives

  64. Take care of yourself first.

  65. Take care of your health.

  66. You should smile more often.

  67. Keep your good habits.

  68. Don’t be an ignorant. Just because you don’t understand them doesn’t mean you have to treat them differently.

  69. Your reality is what you believe.

  70. No matter what happens, continue to move forward.

  71. Do what you have to do and the good people will come to you.

  72. Always give your best and try before giving up.

  73. It’s alright to make mistake. Don’t try to control the events, Allow the experience to happen.

  74. Never filter what you say, do or think.

  75. Know what you want and affirm it. Stop enduring situation you don’t want to be.

  76. Always free some time for personal research

  77. Response to message in a timely manner.

  78. Don’t forget you can always give up everything and start from 0 again.

  79. Soften your facial muscle.

  80. Stop thinking, just have fun.

  82. Be curious. Look it up. (Intellectual curiosity)

  83. Focus on a life that fits you.
